We are working with a secondary academy in the Barnsley area to recruit a permanent teacher of Science. The school are a large academy conveniently located withinmutable distance of Sheffield, Rotherham and all areas of Barnsley. Their focus on academic achievement is supported by a strong team of dedicated staff, who share the underpinning values of the school and its multi-academy trust.
Your new role
As a teacher of Science you will be working within a successful department alongside other teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will have your own full timetable of classes from both KS3 and KS4, teaching predominantly General Science. This is a full teaching role, therefore you will be planning lessons, delivering to your students, assessing work and providing feedback. You will be differentiating in your lessons to ensure that work is targeted appropriately for all abilities, and using constructive feedback to develop students knowledge and skill.
This position is permanent, therefore you will showmitment to the school and forging a career with them. You will be supported by your head of department and SLT to undertake the relevant CPD and given opportunity to reflect on your practice.
