As the Surveyor for FullFibre you will be playing a pivotal role in the future growth and management of the business. Reporting directly into the Build Manager, you’ll be joining a team who fuels innovation, unlocks social mobility and drives economic growth to enable access to a Full Fibre Future for market towns.
We’re looking for someone who can….
Take the desktop plan and bring it to life with physical requirements
Interface into the Planning team to get the best design for FullFibre in place and ready for build
Work with the build team to ensure the design is fit for purpose,the most cost-efficient and gives the best quality of deployment
Work closely with Sub Contractors and direct reports alike to ensure the design is understood
Be responsible for checking of AsBuilts against the original design
Audit the build and/or build during work in progress and at completion to help drive quality
Be an H&S ambassador for the HSEQ department – be the eyes and ears on the ground
Develop suppliers through working with them alongside the Direct reports to get the best from each
Use their GIS experience to help achieve an industry-leading network design
The right person will…
Be a Decisive Thinker and able to analyse information quickly and use it to make robust decisions
Be accountable for effective influencing of stakeholders ensuring a stakeholder management plan is in place and is delivered, with appropriate governance, consultation and prioritisation
Provision of excellent planning/survey advice to the build team in relation to build and customer installations, with accompanying solutions
Have direct experience/exposure in a telecoms based business
Track record of continuous improvement in value and cost Understanding of the use and value of services within civils/contractors ideally within the telecoms arena.
Analytical, solution-oriented and able to deal with a fast-moving and multicultural environment
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
2 + years experience in a surveying role with evidence of understanding of Planning fibre networks or extensive engineering or build of FTTP networks
Strong Fibre delivery understanding
GIS experience a real advantage
Understanding of the Openreach dust and pole network and how it is made up
Working knowledge of the PIA product
Negotiation Skills and ability to talk at the correct level with all levels
Excellent communication skills
Strong academics and demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role
Excellent commercial and business awareness
