This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced social worker to join Emergency Duty Team in Barnsley. About Role :* We require an experienced Childrens social worker to support the work of the Emergency Duty Team in Barnsley. The team are operational from 5pm to 8am Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 4.30pm on Friday through to Monday at 8am. The role of the team is to respond to emergency situations relating to children that arise outside of normal office hours. The post-holder will need a good understanding of safeguarding procedures and be experienced in holding Strategy Discussions and progressing S47 Investigations. * We require social workers who are able to work autonomously, manage competing demands, and work under pressure without the on-site support of their line manager. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage multi-agency partners and families in developing effective safety plans for children.
