PSR Solutions are working with a specialist civil engineering contractor to recruit for a full-time, permanent Health & Safety Advisor based in West Yorkshire. The role will cover multiple-framework awarded projects in Yorkshire, and areas of the North East.

The successful candidate will be required to develop and implement company health, safety, quality and environmental polices. You will carry out site audits, auditing the management and supervisor teams and making recommendations to senior leadership for the region.

Key Duties:

  • Promote a positive Health and Safety culture across multiple divisions within the business
  • Carry out inspections at set intervals on multiple sites
  • Carry out Safety Induction Training on all new starters
  • Carry out ‘ad-hoc’ training sessions as required
  • Manage and continue to promote the current, successful H&S procedures across the business
  • Site paperwork including RAMS, pricing documentation and orders
  • Work directly with the ops manager to price new work and upcoming schemes
  • Build relationships and liaise with operational and support management and establish continuous improvement within the organisation

The Individual:

  • CSCS Card
  • NEBOSH general certificate, or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Extensive experience within a civil engineering environment; preferably road construction, highways
  • Comfortable conveying a safety culture across a national company
  • Ability to lead by/set a good example
