A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority. The Role Key purpose of the role is to ensure that general day to day operational duties within designated areas of responsibility are carried out and complied with. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: carrying out inspections necessary to identify building defects using a variety of means appropriately and accurately. accurately evaluate the problem and offer possible solutions to remedy any building defects identified. liaise and coordinate with partners and statutory bodies as appropriate. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require an HNC (or equivalent) in a Construction Industry related subject. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: Demonstrate experience of working in a partnering environment Proven experience of the technical aspects of Repairs & Maintenance in a similar environment, preferably within social housing. Relevant DEA accreditation (Training will be provided where required for the post)The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £19 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
