The Quality Manager Role requires a strong leader with experience, skills and knowledge in Quality within a manufacturing/fabrication environment. The role requires an individual with proven management abilities to lead a quality team within a world class manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities and Duties
To develop, maintain and support the companies’ quality management system through Quality Engineering, Quality Systems, Product & Process Quality, and Supplier Management. To structure, manage, coach and audit the quality team through the application of quality engineering / management principles, to address part and process issues.
Application of standardised problem resolution tools, concern note avoidance and structured quality management of new parts and new issue levels in to production. Structured standardised problem-solving skills in a team environment, including 8D methology. Implement and sustain Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Robust close out facilitation of external / internal quality complaint investigations and root cause analysis, for effective containment, followed by prevention. Internal / External compliance with defined industry and business related quality standards
Working Hours & Salary:
Day Shift – Hours will be 07.30 – 16.30 Monday – Thursday & Friday 07:30 – 13.30
Pay & Benefits:
Annual bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum.

Experience:
Engineering or an equivalent level of qualificationin a technical discipline, to level 4 or above.
Leadership experience in a quality function within Automotive, Aerospace & Engineering.
Excellent capability with Kaizen/LEAN/Six Sigma problem resolution techniques
Excellent understanding of development techniques for parts and processes e.g.: Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
Understanding of Six Sigma and the related DMAIC approach would be beneficial
Understanding of MRP / Manufacturing Systems and QM Modules and/or willingness to undertake specific training and development in this area.
