A Pupil Referral Unit in Barnsley are seeking a resilient assistant to join our Pastoral Team. The school caters for children aged 11-16 with SMEH/ESBD, who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. The school provides a safe and structured learning environment in which children and young people will improve their education achievements and outcomes, self-understanding and self-worth, and behaviour. You will be required to work across various sites.
This is a full-time position Monday to Friday 8.30-15.15 with an early finish on Friday!
An ideal candidate will have the following:
A good standard of education and can identify areas of improvement required when working on
a 1:1 basis
Full driving licence
experience in Support Work
You need to have the desire to help pupils overcome barriers and achieve the best results
A strong personality and a good sense of humour!
