Major Recruitment are currently looking for an HGV Technician to work for our Barnsley based client on a Permanent Basis.
As a HGV Technician you will be required to service, adjust, and repair vehicles or components using the tools in a safe and proper manner, efficiently, within the allocated time and to the required standard.
For this role you will be working a 4 on 4 off 0600 to 1800 shift pattern.

Annual Salary – £34,000 – £35,581 per annum.
4 on 4 off shift – 40.25 hours per week

Main Duties:
Service and inspect vehicles and report the vehicles condition, safety, reliability & performance (MOT)
Ensure all service and maintenance sheets
Diagnose & report any vehicle or component defects of imminent failure
Ensure a repair or replacement component is carried out in line with protocol and policies
Highlight any faults to Workshop Controllers and Supervisors
Inspect vehicles for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair
Report any broken or faulty equipment to supervisor/manager
On occasion, you may be required to carry out roadside repairs or recover defective vehicles
Key Skills & Experience:
Time served Technician with City & Guilds or Equivalent
Minimum 1 year post Apprentice experience
IMI level 3
Diagnostics

Routine Maintenance
General mechanical ability
Enthusiastic, Team Player, Flexible
HGV (Class one/C+E) Advantageous
Irtec licence Advantageous
