We are working exclusively with the UK’s leading manufacturer of its product. The role: FLT Driver – Counterbalance Are you an FLT Driver that has worked in Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge? A fantastic opportunity has become available for an FLT Driver to join a well-known Manufacturing business based in Barnsley, very close to Wakefield. The role will allow you to be part of a great team carrying out FLT Driving duties within a fast-paced Manufacturing business. Working Hours: 3 shifts (Mornings, Afters & Nights) Hourly Rate: £13.92 p/h (£28,962 PA) – including Shift Allowance with the potential to increase after skills matrix training Excellent Benefit Package includes: * 25 days Holiday + Stats * Health scheme * Bonus Scheme – up to £400 per annum * Life Assurance * Unlimited Overtime: Paid at time ½ after 40 hours Monday – Saturday and double time on Sunday Key Responsibilities: * Transport material to and from designated areas in the facility * Loading and unloading goods from vehicles * Moving goods and materials packed on pallets around the facility * Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions * Checking loads are secure * Recording all stock movements on internal systems (PC/RDT), keeping stock accurate * Keeping stock in an organised manner throughout the storage areas and general housekeeping duties * Stacking empty pallets * Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment * Taking scrap and waste materials to the skip * Always operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner Skills & Experience: * Must hold and accredited FLT Counterbalance Certificate (up to 3 years old) * Experience of operating in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment * Experience in using a PC/RDT stock system * Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights * Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season * High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment * Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records * Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner * Maintain a clean & safe environment * Positive, proactive, ‘can do’ attitude * Professional approach * Ability to count stock If this sounds like a role you could excel in, and want to join a large, stable organisation then please press apply
