Family Support Worker
Location- Barnsley
Pay- £17.44 per hour
Duration- 13/02/2023 – 26/05/2023
Hours- Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week – Office based
Our client are seeking a Family Support Worker to join a team based in Barnsley.
* To engage and support targeted families with children aged 0-25 years through targeted outreach/home visiting and Family support interventions as identified though the Early Help Assessment.
* To provide advice, support and guidance to promote learning and positive parenting skills.
* Work alongside MASH Social Workers to ensure that timely, appropriate, and effective verifications are completed.
* Complete all Requests for Information from partners and external agencies, collate information held in our Integrated Children’s System accurately and liaise with the referrer as appropriate.
* Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of different agencies and how they work together to safeguard children.
* Confidently prioritise work based on information received.
* Build strong working relationships with colleagues and partner organisations, understanding the importance of collaborative working in achieving the best outcomes for our children.
* To report and record any safeguarding concerns.
Requirements
* Recent experience in a similar role
* Level 3 Diploma
* ICT Training
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organised
* Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
