Factory Accountant Our client is looking for Factory Accountant to join their Finance team. This role reports directly to Finance Manager and they are looking for: – Experience in gathering, manipulating & analysing operational data – Experience in developing & maintaining efficient internal reporting processes – Strong IT skills, particularly Excel – Strong people / communication skills – The ability to work with non-financial managers to understand departmental performance – The capability to work independently & pro-actively – Experience of standard costing & variance analysis Key Responsibilities – Continuing development of the site KPI suite in response to business challenges – Monitoring & reporting of factory KPIs – Day to day partnering with operational management – Preparation of production accounts information (Labour costs, production variances etc.) – Assisting the Finance Manager with maintaining the standard costing system – Assist with PIP project appraisal – Fixed asset register maintenance & management – Ad Hoc support to Finance Manager Desired Skills/ Experience – Experience of streamlining processes using spreadsheets & VBA – Part qualified CIMA Management Level (CIMA Dip MA) – Familiarity working with MRP/ERP systems & data – Capable of working pro-actively with an innovative approach to problem solving – Providing time bound information e.g. end of shift/ end of week BPSS are a recruitment agency working on this role
