Role: Electrician Location: Barnsley Salary: £33,800 – based on 37hr week + Company Van Package: Pension Scheme 26 days annual leave (+ public holidays) Power Tools provided Sick Pay Cycle to work scheme Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programme Our Client is responsible for managing a huge Housing portfolio in Barnsley and are looking for numerous Electricians to work on Social Housing projects As an Electrician you will be entrusted with General Electrical repairs, Minor Install work and Testing of Electrical system in Social Housing environments Duties: Carry out all aspects of electrical work on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects Carry out electrical repairs and installations to the current Institute of Electrical Engineers (IET) wiring requirements Interpret detailed electrical design drawings and diagrams Test and inspect electrical installations against current IET requirements Complete works on a wide range of electrical installations and specialist equipment such as renewable technologies Ensure that all electrical test certificates and reports are completed to specification Carry out diagnostic fault finding on a wide range of installations, equipment and apparatus Liaise with other employees of various trades, tenants, managers, etc. Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (City and Guilds) including AM2 Qualification BS7671:2018 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations or 17th edition and willing to achieve 18th edition within six months City and Guilds 2391 or Equivalent Inspecting and Testing certificate or working towards or willing to attain within six months of any start date Previous experience and knowledge of electrical installation, fault finding and proactive repairs including installing electrical equipment to a high standard Knowledge of a range of electrical systems including heating systems Experience of working with renewable technologies including solar PV and Air Source Heating This is a great opportunity to join a hugely established company on a very stable contract.
