Accountant Barnsley – Office based role Salary circa £35,000 My client is seeking a self-motivated, tenacious & analytical individual to join our clients busy manufacturing sites Finance team in an operationally focused Accountant role. Key Responsibilities Continuing development of the site KPI suite in response to business challenges Monitoring & reporting of factory KPIs Day to day partnering with operational management Preparation of production accounts information (Labour costs, production variances etc.) Assisting the Finance Manager with maintaining the standard costing system Assist with PIP project appraisal Fixed asset register maintenance & management Ad Hoc support to Finance Manager Desired Skills/ Experience Part qualified CIMA or equivalent at management level Experience in gathering, manipulating & analysing operational data Experience in developing & maintaining efficient internal reporting processes The ability to work with non-financial managers to understand departmental performance Experience of standard costing & variance analysis Experience of streamlining processes using spreadsheets & VBA Familiarity working with MRP/ERP systems & data If you feel you are ticking the above boxes and want to find out give me (James) a call or apply online
